Privacy Policy — Habit Ocean

Data you create in the app

Habit Ocean may store the following information locally on your device:

• Habit names
• Habit icons and colors
• Habit categories
• Habit schedules
• Check-in history
• Archived/deleted habit state
• Reminder settings
• Ocean Insight access and app preference settings

Backup and restore

Habit Ocean allows you to export a backup containing your habits, schedules, check-in history, and selected app settings. The backup is created locally and is shared only when you choose a destination through the iOS share sheet. Any service or storage location you select may process the backup according to its own privacy policy. Habit Ocean does not automatically upload or retain a copy of your backup. Imported backups are processed locally on your device.

Local storage

Habit Ocean stores app data locally on your device using local app storage such as SQLite and settings storage. The app does not intentionally upload your habit data to a server.

Ocean Insight

Ocean Insight reports are generated from your local habit data. In the current version, Ocean Insight does not require backend processing, artificial intelligence services, or cloud sync. The calculations are performed on device.

Notifications

If you enable reminders, Habit Ocean may ask for permission to send local notifications. These notifications are scheduled on your device and are not generated by a server.

Account and cloud sync

Habit Ocean does not currently require account registration, email login, passwords, cloud backup, or social login. If cloud sync or accounts are added in a future version, this policy will be updated before release.

Advertising and Google Mobile Ads

Habit Ocean uses Google Mobile Ads to offer optional rewarded advertisements. You may choose to watch a rewarded ad to unlock the Daily Insight feature. Core habit tracking remains available without watching an ad.

The Google Mobile Ads SDK may process or collect information such as IP address (which may be used to estimate general location), device identifiers, advertising data, product interactions, and diagnostic information such as crash logs and performance data. Google uses this information to provide, measure, secure, and improve advertising services. Habit Ocean requests non-personalized ads and uses Google's consent flow where required.

Habit Ocean does not send your habit names, schedules, check-in history, or Ocean Insight report contents to Google Mobile Ads. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.

Where required, Google's consent interface allows you to manage your advertising privacy choices. You can also access available advertising privacy choices from the app's Settings screen. Google and its service providers may process advertising data in countries other than the country where you live, subject to Google's privacy practices and applicable safeguards.

In-app purchases

Habit Ocean offers Ocean Insight Pro as a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase. Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. Habit Ocean may receive the product identifier, purchase status, and entitlement information needed to complete or restore your purchase. Habit Ocean does not receive or store your full payment card details. Apple retains purchase records according to its own privacy policy.

Retention and security

Local app data remains on your device until you delete or reset it, or remove the app, subject to the operating system's behavior. Backups remain wherever you choose to save or share them. Data processed by Google or Apple is retained according to their respective policies. Habit Ocean uses reasonable safeguards, but no storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Data deletion

You can delete data inside the app by deleting individual habits, resetting habit data, resetting app data from Settings, or deleting the app from your device. Deleting the app removes locally stored app data, subject to the operating system's behavior, but does not remove backups you previously exported or purchase records held by Apple.

Children’s privacy

Habit Ocean is not specifically directed to children and does not knowingly transmit habit content to developer-operated servers. Google Mobile Ads may process limited device and advertising information as described above. Parents or guardians who believe a child has provided personal information may contact us using the address below.

Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated as Habit Ocean evolves. Material changes should be reflected in the app’s App Store listing and, where appropriate, communicated to users.
